who we work with
As a new charity we are only able to work with schools within the county of Leicestershire and students from KS3 or KS4. We can only work with schools who meet our widening participation and geographical criteria outlined below.
All of our activities are completely free.
Most of our activities are delivered in school, but we understand that it is difficult to take students off timetable. Therefore, we are happy to work with whole classes or year groups so long as activity booked in by schools is then delivered to students where at least 70 – 80% of the group meet one or more of our criteria. Our criteria being students who belong to,
- An underrepresented group within the games sector, this includes,
- Those whose ethnicity is either Mixed/multiple, Black, Asian, or Other.
- Those who identify as a marginalised gender.
- Have a widening participation factor such as,
- Qualifying for free school meals.
- Students from IMD (Indices of multiple deprivation) quintile 1 areas.
